This CE webinar will introduce Motivational Interviewing as a means to promote patient-centered care in clinical practice. The origins of patient-centered care and motivation theories will be briefly explored. The complimentary use of MI to identifying patients’ modifiable health risks and provide sustainable behavior change plans are emphasized. The availability of MI training in participant’s community will be recommended for further study.
