The incorporation of the New AAP Guidelines has created a stir in many dental practices across the United States and Canada. Previous classifications did not include such items as risk scenarios and implant disease conditions. Both are critical to determining effective treatment planning.
In this CE webinar, we will dissect the Guidelines as to Staging (severity and extent) and Grading (rate of progression) into a simplified user-friendly format for the everyday clinician. Attention to primary clinical features will be highlighted especially as to treatment protocols (when prophylaxis vs S/RP vs surgical options) and customization to a patient’s well-being including specific oral hygiene regimens.
During this CE webinar, we will cover the following: • Provide overall review of the AAP Classification and demonstrate critical components to patient management • Establish key data collection points including chairside and patient risk assessment profiles • Parallel various procedures as periodontal debridement to Staging and Grading classifications • Demonstrate how a disease classification system can assist in overall patient education including establishing an effective at-home oral hygiene regimen • Review third party billing relationships applicable to both solo and group practices
